Frequently Asked Questions

Here are some Frequently Asked Questions that I've received in e-mails and over AIM along with an answer.

1. How do I do the css thing?

Please go check it out our tutorial section, if you are still confused email us again.

2. Can you make my website?

Here at Starlight Designs we only make website templates and some graphics to accompany the layouts. We are not responsible for the rest of the coding and uploading process. If you have a question on how to code your website, please refer to our tutorial section.

3. I'm a staff member and I wanna know where to find my stuff that I submitted, where do I look?

The item you submitted will be mixed in with whatever you submitted. So, for example, if you submitted a 48x48 avatar, go to the avatars section, select 48x48, and it should be in there (near the beginning if you submitted it recently).

4. When will my request be done?

You should have received an email back from one of us when we received your request with an estimate on when the request would be finished, go by that date.

5. Can I use any of Starlight Designs' graphics?

You may only use the supplied free graphics on Starlight Designs. Please do not take any of our graphics or information off of our layout or our webpage.

6. Can I become a staff member?

If we are hiring, we would love to have you! To find out if we are, go here.

7. Can I affiliate with Starlight Designs?

If you have a graphics related or website development related website we would love to have you. Apply here.

8. Do you have any tutorials?

Yes, we have many on all sorts of topics. Just go to our Tutorials page and you will see the list we have available for viewing.

9. How long does it take you (Kaze Kikotsu) to make your layouts?

Good question. Depending on that complexity a layout can take from a few hours to a whole day to make. On average it probably takes me about 3 hours once I've started.

10. What happen to the old Calendars?

The calendars, as much as we liked them, and they were fun to make, they really were not our best work and as the months pasts there was no more need for old calendars. If you would like a graphic calendar like we used to make you can request one.

11. To Kaze Kikotsu: "how do u put advatars in a neopets guild?? or can u just put he html code there?? or just put http://www. (and where the picture is)"

Ok, first of all, I don't know anything about Neopets guild avatar coding. But if you plan on using an avatar off of Starlight Designs, please do not direct link our images. It eats up our bandwidth. There are many free hosting places you can upload the avatar to instead.

12. "How do I edit the layouts? I don't understand!?!?!?!"

If you do not understand HTML editing our layouts will be very confusing for you. If you do know HTML and are still confused email us again with a more specific question or two so we can assist you better.

13. "Why haven't you responded to my graphic request/affiliate/sibling/link exchange?"

There are three reasons for this. One: We haven't checked our email yet. Remember, we pick up these emails only about once a week. Two: The form you filled out was faulty and did not send to us. Three: You may have forgotten to fill out some of the required information. If you have not heard from anyone in a week resubmit your request.
