Job Descriptions

Graphic Designer

Duties

As a Graphic Designer, you design layouts, avatars, buttons, banners, and/or wallpapers. As a Graphic Designer you have the right to pick a certain feild which you like to do best or stay generic. If you specialize in something it will be listed on your profile tag. You may specialize in more than one type. When applying, please specifiy which you would like to specialize in if you decide to not be a generic designer.

Requirements

Knowledge in computer and website programming and graphic arts.
Submit at least 2 layouts and/or 25 avatars or 5 avatar templates and/or 25 buttons/banners or 5 button or banner templates and/or 5 wallpapers a month. If you specialize is something you only have to do that one requirement a month, if you don't specialize in anything, then you will be required to do at least two of these requirement a month.
Prior to hiring, a small portfolio will need to be submitted. This should include no more than 10 and no less that 3 items and should showcase your best work. This will be submitted to Kaze Kikotsu via email when your application has been approved. If you would like to just design a specific graphic be sure to let Kaze Kikotsu know in the Comments section of the application. Also, be sure to focus your portfolio around those specific graphics you wish to design.

Website Organizer

Duties

As a Website Organizer, you are second in command. You will upload new graphics onto the website storage space, then add them into the database for viewing. So basic knowledge of SQL is needed (though you will be trained so don't let that deter you away from applying). You will also post update summaries of what you did that day on the main page so HTML will be necessary to know how to edit the page. As a Website Organizer, you will receive your own login information and password to use for editing purposes. If you ever lose this password I will keep a record on hand. You also will have the "authority" to suggest new ways of doing things or new ideas of what we could supply, information we could give or even how to increase traffic. Requirements

Knowledge in HTML, CSS, basic PHP and SQL queries
Have some form of FTP Program on your computer
Be able to devote at least 2 hours a week to updating the website (unless there is nothing to do)
Be in constant contact with Starlight Designs Admin, Kaze Kikotsu. This can be through email, AIM, or Facebook.

Tutorial Writer

Duties

As a Tutroial Writer, you will be doing just that, writing tutorials for Starlight Designs. If you write tutorials for other websites, you ar emore than welcome to submit those same tutorials here, just be sure to follow the distribution rules for that website as well as ours. You will not be able to upload your tutorial on your own though. You will have to submit it via email to either the Admin, Kaze Kikotsu or the Website Organizer (if there is one). You may submit your tutorials in a Word Document or as HTML, that is entriely up to you. Also, it is strongly suggested that you use pictures whenever possible in a tutorial.

Requirements

Knowledge in computer and website programming or graphic arts so you are able to write your own tutorials.
Have good grammar and writing skills.
Submit at least 1 tutorial a month.
Be in constant contact with Starlight Designs Admin, Kaze Kikotsu. This can be through email, AIM, or Facebook.

Basic Rules

1. Don't send in other peoples work claming it as your own.
2. Fill out every required box.
3. Keep in contact with me through email, instant messages, facebook, whatever.
4. Most importantly...DO YOUR JOB.
5. If you upload something (website organizers), notify Kaze Kikotsu with a list of what was submitted, by who, how many, and when.
6. Finally, if you are unable to work because of [insert reason here] please let me know so I don't come bothering you for your stuff at the end of the month.
